Lise Harlev "Beim täglichen Sprechen der fremden Sprache" - my project for DYNAMO.EINTRACHT - deals with the relation between native and foreign language - and what it means to live in a foreign country, speak a foreign language and be looked upon as a foreigner. I focus on the language and in particular how communicating in a foreign language affects the self-perception of the foreigner. The work consists of short texts describing different aspects of this situation. The texts are presented as leaflets and posters which in their layout resemble the printed matter which normally informs the citizens about environmental planning, health care, regulations, etc. My leaflets and posters provide information about the experience of the foreigner and describe the relationship with the native speakers and their language.
